I’ve been meaning to do this for a while and considering ive got a few hours to kill before football I might as well do this now. Blogroll sorta thing I suppose, imma change the date to first of january after a bit and include it as a link on the side, so my format that i think about way too much wont get disrupted (shock horror). Is there a way to link to everyone i follow on tumblr? there should be. these’ll just be highlights i guess. if you really want to (and god knows why you would), you can view what I “like” here, think of it as a sticker album and the shinies are things that aren’t pictures of alexis bledel or rosie huntington whiteley.

tumblr music stuff:, yvynl seems to be top of the pile (and includes a far more comprehensive and much better list of tumblr music blogs here), alwayseverything consistently posts great mixes, andrea inspired posts lots of great stuff including the best mixtapes on all tumblr, twentyfourbit is a really good proper music site as is head underwater (i mean “proper” in terms of looking professionally etc). this micro-version of gorilla vs bear is pretty great. Indie-rock warriorrs, jeffro’s indie rawk blog and white guys with beards post all post indieish stuff worth cheking out. I also like: foldback blues, (the awesomely titled) contact high, whitneymcn, youtube hunting, post punk, & ears of the beholder. rosekohl might consistently have the best music stuff on all of tumblr. ALSO: sex music, manimal vinyl, audiobahn, Catnip for hipsters, A Record A Day, musical machine, troubled by insects, 92Y, Semen Stains The Mountaintops and the hype machine on tumblr. I can’t recommend Ducked Tapes enough, really great interviews with really great bands. Music Fans Mic is really great, as is Seperated By Motorways. Last but not least, dubstep friday and tumblklaat are thoroughly recommended for anyone into dubstep etc. I’ll update this as I find more.
non-tumblr music things: No Conclusion is incredible, my favourite blog in the world. You’re probably already well aware of MBV Music but it’s worth putting because it’s so good. Amusia: The Brainlove Blog - also great. Expressway to my Skull is great, its POP DR(((O)))NES series of podcasts is the best on the web and possibly more recommended than anything else on this page. No Pain In Pop & Upset The Rhythm have similarly great blogs. Black Cab Sessions, Bandstand Busking and, obviously, La Blogotheque all do really great videoy stuff. Resident Advisor, Sonic Router (Jimi from there has his own great blog here) and of course Fact are the places to go if you’re electronically inclined. Illegal Tender, Teenage Hangover, 20jazzfunkgreats (it’s insane I haven’t mentioned it yet, but it needs no mention), Pretty Much Amazing and I Guess I’m Floating. Special mention to Sweeping The Nation which has been consistently posting great stuff for years.
