#221 - Mos Def - Mathematics
Think The Ecstatic actually turning out to be half-decent, a decade after the only Mos Def solo record i could stomach is one of the most surprising things of recent years. Though to say i’m merely stomaching tracks like this is probably doing Black On Both Sides a huge disservice
#245 - U-God - Turbulence
Almost certainly the worst Wu-Tang affiliate but capable of good moments. Still don’t think I’ve made it through his whole debut album, this is track 2.
#246 - Hood - Hood is Finished
Is apt posting one of the great Leeds artists, going to Live At Leeds today. Less apt is posting one of the most autumnal/wintery songs ever on a sunny April day, but that’s where they’ve come in the list. While Hood undoubtedly were at their best post-2000, the record from which this is taken is where they came into their own for me.
