#247 - Eric Serra - The Goldeneye Overture

aw man. between 1998 and 2001 I was properly massively obsessed with James Bond. This is probably taken from the best film, and this particular piece the opening facility scene. This guy also did the Leon soundtrack apparently. Uhhhhhh

#98 - Daft Punk - Aerodynamic

Always preferred instrumental Daft Punk circa Discovery. Example of why. Also, remember this?

(tried to make a rule i wouldnt write non-descriptive one sentence posts for the top 100, but today I’m moving to london so i’m making an exception)

#286 - Jackson And His Computer Band - Utopia

I’m sure many of you will disagree here but “fun” isn’t a word i often associate with Warp, despite it being an incredible record label. Maybe the best. While the couple of guitar bands on their roster might disprove my thinking - Maximo Park and Born Ruffians come to mind - they’re in my opinion a bit rubbish but more importantly not a great representation of the label’s aesthetic. Jackson And His Computer Band is a project that has the creativity and invention and blanket term of “electronica” that’d make you think Warp Records, yet also a merry playfulness that perhaps you wouldn’t.

#326 - Zombie Zombie - A Land For Renegades

Pictures like the above usually mean a band are really rubbish. Doesn’t apply to Zombie Zombie so much. This track reminds me of soundtracks to 80s dystopian future films where the future is basically smokey back alleys and neon signs and sinister awful electro-nightclubs and the mosty aesthetically unappealing fashion in the world.

Not that this is true at all regarding The Warriors, which is a pretty great film. A Land For Renegades sounds like it should be on the soundtrack to that especially, which earns it a place on this list for sure
